Practicing Stewardship
Real, Small & Away.

A tight family of investors in asset-backed alternatives.

THE INVESTING LANDSCAPE

At first glance, investing looks like one big ocean of stocks and bonds. For some, you have had the fortune of finding and managing more subtle and closely held opportunities in
real estate and small businesses. But is there anything in between?

We believe in finding the hidden investing “Coves” and piloting a few of our nearest and dearest there, away from the noise.

FAMILY TO THE CORE

Our solutions came out of our  need to manage our own assets in a way that aligned with our values and view of the world. But in everything, we are relational, so we’ve invited a few close friends to share some seats on this journey.

What We Do

We assemble small funds and ventures to fill much-needed gaps in our collective portfolios.

Our first fund is called...

LIBRARY OF IDEAS

From time to time, we get questions about concepts that can be greatly simplified. So we write to create simple frameworks for people who may not be fully versed in all the deep investing “lingo”. Also, we read things that inspire us and we like to share them!

FUNDS & VENTURES

STILLWATER

Our first fund is a bullseye for our investing mindset. Here, we have compressed the essentials into something that follows 3 core tenets which we have found to be essential, not just for late-career investors, but for anyone looking to manage long term yield. When it’s time to have your money working for you, it’s time to land in stillwater.

CORE TENETS

1. Invest only in hard asset-backed sectors

2. That yield stable cash flow

3. With fund managers who are deeply experienced in the hands-on management of that asset class.

HEART

We want to make access to these types of investments easier for investors. By joining our funds together, we gain prestige placement in hard-to-find opportunities while not just meeting the minimums. This allows us stronger united status when working with our managing funds, as well as the combined ability to diversify. Our heart is to create steady, nearly “boring” cashflow backed by assets that are not nearly as volatile as the broader markets.

From time to time we will find opportunities that fall outside the core Stillwater tenets. They adhere to our fundamental philosophy but, for instance, may be focused more on a long-term value-growth play while minimizing immediate cashflow. For other opportunities, we may require an approach outside the fund structure and assemble equity partners to pursue them.
